A New Outdoor Training Ground
A new outdoor training ground with KOPUR Soft rubber impact slabs has been open for public. It was set up in Kranj by the Slovenian Steel Industry (SIJ Group) in cooperation with the Olympic Committee of Slovenia and with the support of local communities.
"The use of the training ground is intended for recreational and relaxational purposes. It is available to everyone, without any restrictions. People will have an opportunity to have fun, stretch, while professional athletes will also be able to use the training ground for trainings. We really want it to serve its purpose," says Robert Nograšek, Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Kranj.
"I think that all the citizens of Kranj who regularly participate in recreational activity and visit the Šmarjetna gora hill, can also get active here, do some strength exercises, which certainly comes in useful in today's lifestyle. I think it is a great initiative and I hope that the training ground gets used by large numbers of visitors," says Matej Mohorič, excellent Slovenian cyclist.
