Superior sound insulation for wooden doors

DRS Sound Supreme Board (DRS SSB) is a high-performance insulation board specifically designed for wooden doors where superior sound insulation is essential. As a door core, it provides acoustic performance of up to 43 dB, together with excellent fire resistance and thermal insulation (EI 30–EI 60). Made from recycled composite materials, the board was developed in partnership with Knauf Insulation, drawing on extensive expertise in high-performance insulation solutions.

Applications

DRS Sound Supreme Board is designed as an insulation core for wooden door systems in buildings with demanding sound insulation requirements, particularly in:

hotels and hospitality facilities,
educational and healthcare facilities,
residential buildings,
recording and broadcast studios,
cinemas and other acoustically demanding environments.

Beyond wall insulation

Even with high-performance acoustic walls, doors can become the weak point in a room’s sound insulation. Used as a door core, DRS Sound Supreme Board reduces sound transmission through the door and enables the development of high-performance wooden door systems for demanding acoustic applications.
